About Albatross Pottery



I have always felt that it is important for artists to sign their work. It is an identity marker and sometimes historical record of the maker. Having a clear and identifiable signature or mark makes it easier to find out the artist of that particular piece in your collection. I have chosen a starfish as the imprint on my stamp as a "signature" on all of my pieces. All of my designs carry this mark except for the starfish ornaments. The starfish ornaments are pressed from a mold made from a real starfish found on our beach here in North Myrtle Beach. Since our Heavenly Father holds the copyright to that particular design I can not claim the creation! - Amy
